Formats

Pick the format. See what you get.

Seven mail formats, plus contacts to vCard and calendar to iCalendar.

PST: Outlook data file

Opens in Outlook on Windows. The folder tree, mail, contacts and calendar items stay together in one file, so it is the best choice for moving a whole mailbox.

Good for Moving a mailbox to a new PC or profile

EML: One file per message

Each message becomes its own file with its attachments inside. Many mail programs and viewers open EML files.

Good for Sending a message on, or filing it by hand

MSG: Outlook message file

Each message is saved as an Outlook message file that opens in Outlook with the formatting kept.

Good for Keeping single messages for Outlook users

MBOX: Folder in one file

All the mail of a folder goes into one MBOX file, the format used by mail programs such as Thunderbird.

Good for Moving mail to a mail program that is not Outlook

PDF: Readable archive

Messages become PDF files that look the same on any device and are easy to print or keep for records.

Good for Records, legal copies and printing

HTML: Web page

Each message is saved as a web page you can open in any browser or put on a drive for search.

Good for Browsing mail without a mail program

CSV: Spreadsheet list

A table of your messages with sender, subject and date that opens in a spreadsheet.

Good for Counting, sorting and reporting on mail

VCF: Contacts

Contacts are exported as vCard (.vcf) files that phones and mail programs can import.

Good for Moving contacts to a phone or another account

ICS: Calendar

Calendar items are exported as iCalendar (.ics) files that calendar programs can import.

Good for Moving meetings and events to another calendar

Tools

One app, six tools.

Convert is on every plan. Merge, Split, Batch, Extract and Upload come with Pro.

Convert Free and Pro

Turn a file into the format you need.

  • Pick PST, EML, MSG, MBOX, PDF, HTML or CSV
  • Contacts go to vCard, calendar goes to iCalendar
  • Choose folders with a tick box tree, then filter by sender, recipient, keyword, item kind, attachments, size or date
  • Free for the first 50 items in each folder

Merge Pro

Put several files into one PST.

  • Combine many OST or PST files into a single PST
  • Remove duplicate items while merging
  • Good for closing old mailboxes into one archive

Split Pro

Cut a big file into smaller ones, or make it smaller.

  • Split by size, year, month, folder or sender domain
  • Compact a file by stripping attachments or extracting them to a folder

Batch Pro

Convert many files in one run.

  • Add many files and convert them in one run
  • See the progress of the run, with corrupt items logged and skipped

Extract Pro

Pull attachments out of mail.

  • Save every attachment from the folders you choose
  • Use the same filters, for example only a date range or one sender

Upload Pro

Send mail straight into a mailbox over IMAP.

  • Works with Gmail, Microsoft 365 and Exchange, Yahoo, iCloud and other IMAP servers
  • You type the server, port, user and password, and the mail is sent from your PC
  • Gmail needs an app password. Microsoft often blocks IMAP sign in with a password, so an upload to Microsoft 365 may be refused

Questions

Straight answers.

Is my mail uploaded anywhere?
No. Webcent OST Converter runs on your Windows PC and reads your files there. Nothing is uploaded to Webcent servers. The only things that go online are your account sign in and the Pro subscription check. If you use the IMAP upload tool, mail goes from your PC straight to the mail server you typed in.
Do I need Outlook installed?
No. The app reads OST and PST files itself, so it works on a PC without Outlook, and on a PC where the mailbox no longer exists. It handles large files too.
Can it upload to Microsoft 365 or Exchange over IMAP?
Only when the mailbox allows it. Microsoft often blocks IMAP sign in with a password, so an upload to Microsoft 365 or Exchange may be refused. In that case convert to PST and open it in Outlook instead. Gmail needs an app password, not your normal password. Yahoo, iCloud and other IMAP servers work with the server, port, user and password you type in.
How many computers can I use?
Up to 2 computers for each subscription. You sign in to the app through your browser from Account, Sign in.
How do I cancel, and what about refunds?
You can cancel any time from your account page. Time you have already paid for stays active until the period ends. For a refund question, write to us and we will look at it with you.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64 bit. Outlook is not needed. Free disk space for the converted output is needed, so large files need room for the result.
What does the Free plan include?
Preview is always free. You can open any file, browse the folders and read items. Free conversion covers the first 50 items in each folder. Pro removes that limit and adds Merge, Split, Batch, Extract and Upload.
What happens if a file has damaged items?
The app logs the item in an error log and skips it, so one corrupt item does not stop the run. A stopped run can be resumed.
